I'd like if I could to be serious for a minute or two if I could people a make a plea. Please good people of Earth and people of England more specifically. Please stop encouraging Madonna. If we ignore her I'm sure she'll go away.
Now don't get me wrong I appreciate that she did a couple of rather good songs back in the early 80's. Yes people that's the early 80's and by my calculations she's forty-seven. Yes people Forty-seven. Now given that the age group of the people she's currently aiming her music at probably have mums that age, actually scrap that grandmothers that age who the bloody hell is it that insists on using the "sex sells" card on all her videos, just take a look at her latest video, Hung Up, however unless you want to claw your eyes out I'd recommend against it.
Tthis latest offering is also a prime example of her lack of vocal talent, sorry I know that sounds like I'm being harsh, but she's never been brilliant, good but not brilliant. I caught a bit of her live in concert on the television the other day while channel surfing and her voice had obviously failed and she was straining to get anywhere near the note she needed to hit. Now I'm aware that this can happen to everybody. I've heard at one time or another pretty much everyone of my vocal hero’s have trouble in a live set with some of the harder to reach notes at the end of a set. However this was near the start and it wasn’t a hard to reach note just one of her usual a monotonous middle chorus things that she does - "Time goes by so slowly" style thing. Come on Madge if your voice is going a bit dodgy warm up properly or whatever or if it's really bad and has got to a stage where you just can’t sing a whole set, don't do it. It's not like you need the money. I'm not saying don't perform at all just do one or two songs at award ceremonies or something. That way we all win, your happy as your singing and felling important and we win because nobody watches them.
Still not with me people? Need I mention the children’s books she's done? No didn't think so.
