Todays gadget - A 60gb iPod
Yes I know you'll think I'm behind the times only just getting one of these now. You'd be right to think that as well I am rather behind on my gadgets, so I thought I'd make a bit of a effort to catch up and buy one of these.
The only problem with it is that the computer at home is using low grade technology, which i don't have a problem with most of the time, however the iPod requires USB 2.0 (or firewire) and the PC only has USB 1.0 so I'm having to put songs on from my computer here at work which contains a load of rubbish songs, mainly joke songs that I've down loaded, such as ARrrrrrGh Pidgeon bit me by Help the Buffalo are crushing Me which although quite funny and amusing listening to the whole album is likely to result in some serious issues. The rest of the songs are made from what I've moved from peoples harddrives at work to punish them for having music on their harddrives (hay I said do what I say not do what I do), so itws complete rubbish like Robbie Williams and 50 Cent, really people who listen to drivel like that should be neutered for the good of the gene pool.
So my problem is I have all my decent albums on my PC at home but can only move them onto my PC at work. I think my choices on what to do run something like this:
I think I'm going to give number three a try as I was going to set it up on my work PC anyway. However I'll probably end up having to do number two. Anybody got any other suggestions?

1. Use my disgo or burn onto a couple of CD's to carry accross songs to work - could take a long time and a lot of trips.
2. Take work PC home and copy files accross via a ccross over network lead
3. use some sort of accross the web file sharing thingy such as My Web Ex PC
4.Crudulance! there was a 4, what was it....

Fit a usb2 card or firewire card pci card?
Yeah I've had a word with one of the guys here at work and he's going to pick me up a Firewire card for £5. Which is nice.
A more indepth search of the network has found some fairly decent albums and these are now on my pod so I have something to listen to until I fit the card now.
Not entirely sure what you mean by "some sort of accross the web file sharing thingy" but you could install Apache web server on your home PC and then downlaod all the stuff off it at work. This may take fookin forever though.
