The First Snow of 2010


I'm sure that there must of been a point when snow was fun. I see the children throwing snowballs at cars with huge grins on there faces like the little hoodlems that they are. I see people looking at the first flakes of snow as they fall with wonder in there eyes. I see kids sledging down hills oblivious to the on coming traffic laughing.
I see all this and think, "crap it's snowing". So where is my feeling of wonder and joy at the first snow that these other chumps seem to have. Well of course there is that driving in it is dangerous and there are always massive traffic jams because of it. My main peeve with it though is that it results in my lovely wife having to go and stay at her parents and leave me alone in the house.
Why does she have to do that? Well because we live a long way from where she works and it is nigh on impossible for her to get to work from here in the snow. Her parents however live next door to where she works.
So I'm here. Cold. Alone. Bored.

Still gammon for tea so it's not all bad.
